Pokémon Ranger

The first real Pokémon game for Nintendo DS hits in just a couple of months. Pokémon Mysterious Dungeon, Pokemon Trozei and Pokemon Dash are fine and all (well, maybe not Pokémon Dash), but we expect another DS explosion to begin with the release of the first traditional Pokémon RPGs, Diamond and Pearl.

But before D/P, Japan will be getting Pokémon Ranger. Japanese retailers reveal that this precursor to Diamond and Pearl will see Japanese release on March 23, 2006.

Pokémon Ranger is an action-RPG, but it more closely resembles a traditional Pokémon game than the DS's other three Pokemon games. The game will tie-in closely to the upcoming Pokémon movie.
